Towards a Greater Mobility

I love the leg-chub!

She's reaching, grabbing, pulling, tasting and inching forward these days. She gets up on her knees and rocks, too, and "dances" when she's standing holding our fingers.

First Trip to the Zoo

We went to the zoo with friends from church: Ruth, Tay (5), Myli (3) & Will (2), Anna & Molly-in-utero. It was a gorgeous day, and Eowyn loved being out in the air with so many fun things to look at (and eat)! She especially loved Tay, giving him the biggest smiles every time he came to talk to her.

Time for Bed

We couldn't help laugh at Eowyn's totally zoned out stare into the ceiling this evening. She was definitely ready for bed!

It Just Broke Her Little Heart

The "door open" sound Daddy's truck makes, that is.
She was NOT impressed with it, though warmed up to the truck once that noise stopped, and she had the privelege of riding next to both Mommy AND Daddy! :) Her little sad face was so heart-breakingly precious, complete with red cheeks (leftover from her bout with Fifth's Disease) and tear drop, that I had to snap a picture.

Recovering

You can see her two first teefers!

Rashy Splashy, Playing in the Bathy

Eowyn apparently had and recovered from Fith's Disease, a very common childhood illness of which I had never heard before-- one of those viruses you can't get after age 5. It usually starts with a cold and sore throat, then progresses to a mild fever, a red mark on the cheeks, and then a rash head to toe once the illness is effectively over and no longer contagious. We missed the cold, probably because she's breast-fed. If she had a fever, it was masked by the Tylenol we gave her for her teeth last week. So all we had was a rash, randomly appearing this morning at school! It's fading now, and there's one more immunity under her belt, and it doesn't seem to bother her in the least!

Almost Sitting Up Alone

She does pretty well for a while, then tips over. Her face is priceless as she's going down! Like "oh no! not again! Why does this ALWAYS happen!?" =D
