First Story Time

We went to Toddler Story Time with Jenny, Jane & Ryan. Eowyn did really well and seemed to like all the clapping and moving best! She also started gnawing on the carrot they were supposed to use as a paintbrush, which was great because she is a TEETHING TERROR today!

New Snack: Frozen Peas

In an effort to entertain the Wee One during dinner prep, I gave her some frozen green peas. Genius. They entertained her for a solid half-hour, and I think she even ate some of them! (I did find a ton in her seat, though)

" I like these, Mommy!"

Pensive

A friend is letting us borrow these overalls until E outgrows them... I love them!!

Little Reader Already!

Her first-ever prize from a Summer Reading Program; a little green stachel filled with coupons for all sorts of goodies and places! She immediately began chewing the strap, in total bliss, just as I'd predicted to the librarians. :)

First Balloon

A lady at Kroger asked me if she could "please give her her first Kroger balloon?" as we were leaving the store. I figured Eowyn wouldn't really care much, but would probably get a kick out of the string at least. Yep!!

Sewing with Mommy

We've been sewing for the past 3 days, mending, making bows, and yesterday, making a new stash of taggy blankets to give as gifts. Eowyn couldn't be happier, playing with my fabrics, tape measure, ribbons, and empty spools. Such very large colorful messes to be made!

She's also quite taken with the mirror on our closet door. You can see the smudges where she had just kissed herself. Oh yes, and note the new bow (probably the biggest she'll ever wear)

We've been listening to Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince on audiobook as we work... can I count that in her "Summer Reading Program" for the library? =D

Top Porch Topper

We went out on our second-story balcony (our "top porch") to enjoy the sunshine after nap. She looked like such a little lady, dancin' around up there! Pardon the dirty shirt; you moms know how clothes and cleanliness goes as the day progresses.

New Old Outfit

"This sun is bright, Mom!"

Mommy's newest kick is recycling and redeeming clothing. For example, this onesie was a stained and ratty long-sleeved onesie. (the sleeves were used as pirate leggings) I added lace "sleeves," and a bow over the stained area. I made a matching hairbow out of ribbon scraps and my favorite headband material, pantyhose. Ta-da! I got several compliments on her outfit!
