My Daddy Goes to Southern (Seminary)

I made this shirt to tell Ryan that he was going to be a daddy. Now, 10 months later, that "gleam in my eye" is wearing it! Time flies!

...I guess we won't be sending this in to the seminary as potential advertising... unless it's to capture to "seminary widow/orphanhood" that happens every time exams roll around...

The first two shots capture her "serious face" which she wears a lot. Everyone who sees her awake (and non-screaming) comments on how alert and observant she seems to be. She's just contemplating life. We figure she'll have most things figured out by the time she's talking in complete sentences...

She got a bit stressed with all the decisions. (this is the beginnings of the famous "sad lip" that melts even the sternest of hearts).

Yep, it's an all-out GRIN!! She's doing it more & more often these days, but it's still not totally predictable. Today she was all excited about the fan, near as I could tell. She does respond to us, though, and once you've elicited ONE smile, you want to do ANYTHING to get more!!

My mom had Éowyn's quilt embroidered and just sent it back up to us. I am thrilled with how it turned out! I took advantage of the unseasonably warm day to get some good outside (and unclothed!) pictures. As Éowyn is a most cooperative subject when she's asleep, I didn't really get her big blue eyes in these, though they matched it all so well. :)

Already a Bookworm

Eowyn has already been the youngest attendee at BOTH bookclubs I'm in. Tonight she & I went to Andrea's house to enjoy fall-themed treats and discuss Wilkie Collins' The Moonstone (the first detective novel in English)... heheh Mommy's reading of this book had been inturrupted by SOMEONE's arrival, so... we mostly listened and laughed. =D
