Apple Picking

Our playgroup from church went to Hubers for apples & pumpkins, and we mamas lined up all the littlest girlies to eat their apples.  Irresistible photo shoot!

Eowyn & ; Jane are fast friends, entertaining each other very well, and SO CUTE together!!

To think that last time we went apple picking, she was in the Ergo the whole time!
(more photos to come from Jenny, aka Jane's Mommy,'s camera)

Fun with Jane

We laughed so much at Eowyn and Jane laughing, rolling, tickling, and laying together on the floor! This is actually a rather common occurrence when they are together. Especially as bed-time draws nearer.

Mommy's 25!!

Ryan organized me a lovely evening:  dinner at Outback Steakhouse with Jenny, her two babies, Lyle, and Ashlea. The Shuey family joined us for the crowning event:  dessert at The Comfy Cow (Mommy got a free scoop!) -- our FAVORITE local, all-homeade ice cream joint.

It may have been Mommy's birthday, but E was definitely the cutest!!

Pretty Pretty Please

She's signing "please" with her hands (her own translation of the ASL sign).  It's very hard to resist those big blue eyes.

Birthday Twin-E's

These photos were taken (mostly) by Laura, Elijah's mom.  Elijah & Eowyn are almost cousins; they have a common aunt (my sister Nicole) by marriage.  I say Laura is my-sister in-law-law. :)  They also have the same birthday.  Elijah is a few hours older.  When Nicole told me Laura had delivered (and I'd been in labor longer), I was DETERMINED to have Eowyn on the same day!

This year we celebrated with our birthday twins at Dan & Laura's house in NC.  The theme was navy blue and red, and we all really enjoyed it!  Taking pictures of the two of them, though... now that was a bit like herding cats.  These are the best we got.

We're On the Way, On the Way to Tia's House

Tia Nicole & Uncle Colin, that is!  (Mommy's sister moved to Cary, NC, so we went to visit and check out her new house, new job, and new family!)

Presley Grandparent Gifts

We spent Fri & Sat with Poppy, Grams, Uncle Nathan & Aunt Courtney down in Canton, GA.  Great-Grandparents Presley were there, too, and of course Sarah ("dog-gy").  We had lunch at Lonestar Steakhouse-- I LOVE steak-- and Grandma & Grandpa gave me a book which reads to me (with Grandma's voice) when I open it.  I was not so sure about it at the time-- how was it reading to me when Grandma was sitting over there?  But I like it now... and I always love snuggling with Grandpa!

Phone-talker

Sorry-- I know these aren't very good, but they at least show Eowyn's newest and cutest habit of "talking" on "phones" (can be anything, blocks, shoes, remotes...), complete with expressions, pauses and lots of "hi!"s.

Labor Day Family Outing

It was Moe Monday ALL DAY, so of course we went there for lunch.  Eowyn seems concerned at Daddy's giant burrito in this picture...

Cutie

From Moes, we walked down to Half-Price books, where they were having a sale on their already super-cheap books.  We let Eowyn look at her birthday present early (a bilingual Spanish & English Word book).  We got yummies at ColdStone Creamery, too. :)

Eowyn sacked out while Mommy went to the mall to buy a pillow and shoes for E.

A great day!

On the Way to Church

Such a big girl in her new car seat, with a new doll and newly fitting sweater (handmade by "Grandma B!"), tights and Mary Janes.  She seems to enjoy facing forward in the new seat.  We enjoy not carrying her around in the old one. :)

Rageddy Ann & Andy

with Mom's old friends... she's just discovered them sitting on her shelf this week, and now signs to have one of them (or both) upon every waking- nap or morning!  I think I have a picture of me sitting almost exactly the same way with these same dolls, which my maternal grandmother (Mama Lulu) made me!
