Once upon a time, this was my would-be photography site. Then, a darling, dimpled, chubby-cheeked cherub entered our arms, and our camera flashes were quickly turned to chronicling every moment of her precious life. Check in for your daily dose of Éowyn Grace. Everybody needs some.

Poor Baby
This was even funnier from the front, because you could see her lips pooched around the wrong-side-in pacifier!
Cuddling with Daddy
EDIT: the fever was short-lived, and gone by the following afternoon. Did the garlic oil help?

Happy to See Daddy Again!
Asleep on the way over- and she pulled the toys onto herself
I love this little outfit, a gift from Grandpa Rob & Grandma Joanna-- I was afraid she wouldn't get to wear it much with the weather in the 80s like it was for a while, but we've had enough chilly and/or rainy days that she's getting some good use out of it after all! I'm so glad, because the blue and the brown together are my FAVORITE combination on her!! Brings out those enormous blue eyes of hers!

She's such a sweet, smily baby!
Oh... and face-plants are still pretty classic for her at this point.

Baby Love
Hi, there- I believe we've met before...
That Elliott... he sure knows how to sweet talk the ladies!
Tracy's nephew Elliott (1 yr), son of my friends Ben & Denise-- youth group friends of mine-- really got excited when he saw Eowyn after he'd walked down the aisle as the tinyest ring bearer ever. He kept saying "Baby! Baby!" throughout the ceremony and was quite interested in her afterwards, as you can see. So cute how babies recognize & name other babies, as if they weren't babies themselves!

Driving to Greenville
E enjoying her car mirror during one of our quick stops. Thank you Grandma & Grandpa! The mirror is CRUCIAL on these car trips, especially when I'm alone!

The Biggest Bow She'll Ever Wear
I always tease my friends who stick ginormous bows on top of their baby girls' heads, predicting neck muscle damage, etc. Today we were hanging out with Jenny & Jane again, and decided to go out to dinner at the North End Cafe. Alas, I didn't have a bow for my dressed-in-blue-baby-girl, so Jane allowed Éowyn to borrow one of hers. I admit, it WAS cute.
And I think this expression is HILARIOUS!

Big Girl Eater
She now eats avocado, squash, bananas, egg yolk, and carrots. And mama's milk. Lots and lots of mama's milk. She's tried pureed stewed beef, but wasn't a fan. We'll try again in a few weeks.

Shoe Girl
One of her favorite pastimes is chewing on her shoes. :) I get the bin down for her and spread them out while I'm folding laundry or some other chore in her room. It's so cute!

Cute Sunday Shoes
Thought this was a fun one-- taken on our way home from church.
PS- she had her first veggie today: carrots! She seemed to like them!

When Presented with Many Options, She'll Take...
... the chew-shoe!
Eowyn & I went to the IBC Ladies' Retreat for the day. I didn't get to hear much of the message, but certainly was encouraged and helped by the fellowship and discussion!

Block Gluttony
She would get so frustrated when the entire block wouldn't fit in her mouth that we decided not to let her play with them anymore.

Spittin'
Oh Eowyn, I know you are really hungry; it's why you're an emotional clingy mess ... So when it's time to eat, please remember it is NOT time to squack, scream, squeal, look around, cry, spit or blow bubbles in your milk. Love, Mom
... I guess I'll be up in the middle of the night. She kept spitting (adorably, yes) instead of eating... Oh well, at least she seems to be feeling mostly better!!

Pretty in Pink
Despite her sicky-iccky-cough, our baby is too cute! I made the bow last night out of a ribbon and some pantyhose... yes, I admit it: my daughter is wearing pantyhose on her head. I actually made 3 headbands in different styles-- one is for all those clip-on bows she doesn't have enough hair to clip on yet.

Fighting Sleep
She was soooo tired on the flight home, but resisted to the end!! She would rest her head like this, go limp, and then bounce up, spitting and jabbering.

Waterfall of Grace, revisited
We took Eowyn to see where her life began, in some ways... Ryan asked me to marry him here at Multnomah Falls, on February 23rd, 2007. We didn't climb this time, just got out, got sprayed, and soaked in the beauty. Oh, and bought some amazing huckleberry jam.

First Swing!
When the weather turned nice (ish), we ran outside to get some vitamin D (Shyanna, our neice, calls it "sunshine vitamins"-- so cute!), and to introduce Eowyn to her first swing! She was unsure about it at first, then started jabbering away... then a huge smile proved she liked it! I took her again the next day and she definitely enjoyed it.

You're Getting Sleepy...
Nothing quite puts her to sleep like the combination of car-ride, paci, travel-tiredness, and Mama's hand...

Fish Friends
Grandma Joanna showing Eowyn the fish-- she kept trying to grab them, and was fascinated at the way they moved around!
